It is estimated that there are over 600 million motor vehicles being driven on the streets of the earth. This figure is expected to double in the next 30 years. But oil is running out and bio-fuels are no longer seen as a viable alternative to fossil fuels.

Add to that the choking emissions and greenhouse gases that are pushing the planet towards runaway global warming - nearly a third of the UK's greenhouse emissions come from transport - and it becomes clear that we need an alternative to the current car culture, and quickly!!!
