Why aToMik?

Perhaps the first thing you'd ask when you visit a site called aToMikGreen.com.au is "What the heck does ATOMIK have to do with environmental issues and products?" Closely followed by "What is with the whacky capitilisation?" Thankfully the answer to both those questions is "It's all in the name!"

The Beginning

Back in 2000, at a screening of X-Men (don't take that as an indication of nerdiness) Tom and Mike met for the first time. Their friendship was sealed that night in an arm-wrestle at Pancake Parlour. Sounds kinda kooky doesn't it? But that's where the story of aToMik begins - with the creation of aToMik Corporation (a Tom Mike Corporation). Gettit?

aToMik Corporation was borne with the desire to make an impact on the world, to make a change and difference. To be one of those socially responsible, socially aware organisations. We're not just here to turn a profit. aToMik Corporation has been working away at various little projects, and finally the time came in early 2008 to launch aToMik Green.

Da Bomb

The name aToMik has no linkage or reference to the Bomb, or nuclear power in any fashion other than we like the correlation between the power one small atom contains. We like to use that as inspiration that one small company has a huge amount of power to affect change in ways we hope are beneficial to all.
