If we are serious about reducing our landfill, we must look towards the three environmental R's - and in this section we look at Recycling. What's important about recycling for us, is it means less useful and reusable materials ending up in landfill. For industry, it often means savings in resources and energy by not having to create the primary products. For instance, energy and oil are two of the major requirements for plastics. Recycling plastics results in less oil consumed, and the benefits flow from there.
